Waconia working to reduce final levy for 2013
On Monday, Dec. 3, the Waconia City Council met in a work session following the Public Information Meeting on the proposed 2013 Property Tax Levy. As a result, the proposed final levy for consideration at the next city council meeting will be reduced significantly. The increase in the proposed General Tax Levy for 2013 will reduce by two-thirds, from what is shown on the preliminary statements received in the last two weeks.
The final budget will be reviewed and considered at 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, in the City Council Chambers at 201 South Vine Street.
