Brooke Willemsen was nominated by CHS staff and voted as Senior Student of the Month for November 2012. Criteria used for the selection was academic progress, responsibility, school spirit, personal growth and character.
Her plans after high school include attending Gustavus Adolphus College where she will be pursuing a Business degree. She has not made a decision as to the kind of business at this time, but she wants a job that she will enjoy going to every day.
Brooke’s advice to underclassmen or peers is to use the gifts and talents that you have been blessed with to contribute to the success of our school and communities, and make wise choices. Also, greet people with a smile and be friendly to everyone!
Her favorite hobbies and interests include volleyball, basketball, softball, band, choir, student council, and yearbook. She also enjoys hunting, fishing, and hanging out with my family and friends.
Brooke’s favorite activity at Central High School is accounting because it gives her an outlook of what the business world is like and it’s more interesting to her than required classes. She also enjoys band and choir because music is a stress reliever for her.
Brooke is the daughter of Mori and Dana Willemsen.
