(Zoning Amendment)

CITY OF WATERTOWN, MINNESOTA

December 11, 2012

 

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF WATERTOWN BY REZONING CERTAIN LAND FROM MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENCE (R-2) DISTRICT TO PARK/OPEN SPACE (P-1) DISTRICT.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERTOWN, CARVER COUNTY, MINNESOTA, ORDAINS:

Section 1. The official Zoning Map of the City of Watertown as established and adopted pursuant to Chapter 62 of the Municipal Code of Watertown, Minnesota, is hereby amended by changing the zoning designation of the following described land from Medium Density Residence (R-2) to Park/Open Space (P-1):

All that part of Outlots 98 and 99, Village of Watertown, according to the Plat thereof lying Southerly and Easterly of Trunk Highway No. 25 the center line of which is described in that certain Final Certificate filed by the State of Minnesota on November 14, 1932 and recorded in Book “P” of Decrees, page 59, excepting therefrom the following described premises: Commencing at the northeasterly corner of Outlot 98, Village, Carver County, Minnesota, and running South along the east line of said Outlot 98 and 99 a distance of 95.0 feet to a point on the center line of Trunk Highway No. 25, the place of beginning of this description; thence continuing South along said east lot line a distance of 416.0 feet to a point; thence deflecting right 94° 00’and running Westerly a distance of 196.2 feet to a point on center line of said Trunk Highway No. 25; thence running Northeasterly on a 3° 00’ curve along the center line of said Trunk Highway No. 25 a distance of 447.7 feet to a place of beginning. Subject to the easement to the State of Minnesota for highway purposes in a strip of land 50 feet wide lying Southeasterly from and parallel with the above described center line of Trunk Highway 25.

LESS AND EXCEPT

Subject to the easement to the State of Minnesota for highway purposes in a strip of land 50 feet wide lying Southeasterly from and parallel with the above described center line of Trunk Highway 25.

 

Lying Northeasterly of a line drawn from a point on the Northerly line of the above described property distant 25.26 feet Westerly from the Northeasterly corner thereof to a point on the Easterly line distant 37.13 feet southerly of the Northeasterly corner thereof.

Section 2. This land shall now be part of the Park/Open Space (P-1) and subject to the regulations of Chapter 62 (Zoning Ordinance), of the Municipal Code of Watertown, as amended as legally described and shown in the map as part of Exhibit A.

Section 3. This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its passage and publication according to law.
