The host team, BOLD, finished third. Of the 11 Class A teams at the competition, four other Section 2A teams were in attendance. PACT Charter was seventh, followed by Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop, Norwood Young America, and New Ulm Cathedral.

Crusader head coach Maryann Porter said the team had another solid performance and received good marks in all areas of scoring.

The junior varsity team also found success at BOLD, finishing third of eight teams after recent changes to the routine.

The Crusaders will get their first glimpse of the entire conference this Thursday, Dec. 20, at Jordan. At the Minnesota River Conference meet, Mayer Lutheran will debut its kick routine for the first time. Porter said this season’s routine is much more dynamic than in years passed, and more difficult.

“I am anxious to see if the judges like it as much as the audience did at our basketball performance,” she said.

The Jordan meet will be the last competitor for the Crusaders before the winter break.
