Fish house raffle
The Waconia High School Conservation Club is selling raffle tickets for its annual Fish House Raffle. Proceeds help fund conservation, outdoor events. Tickets: Wayne Trapp at (952) 237-0503. Raffle will be held on Jan. 5, 2013.

MONDAY, DEC. 31 – At “Snowflakes– Where and How Are They Possible?” school age children will track the cycle of the snowflake and get to the bottom of this mystery; then create beautiful artwork inspired by these formations. JAN. 3-6 – St. Joe’s School in Waconia is holding a winter paper drive Thursday, Jan. 3 through Sunday, Jan. 6. Save all your newspapers, magazines and boxes!
RCTC play auditions

Pet adoption day
SATURDAY, JAN. 5 – Carver Scott Humane Society volunteers will hold a pet adoption from noon to 3 p.m. It will be hosted at PETCO in Chaska. Kittens, cats and dogs will be available. All cats and dogs have been micro ID implanted, vet checked, wormed, had shots updated, checked for friendly temperaments, and age appropriately spayed/neutered.
