Boys hockey tops New Ulm

The Mound Westonka High School boys hockey team bumped their season record to 5-4 after defeating New Ulm High School 6-0 on Saturday, Dec. 22.

The White Hawks dominated the game offensively, outshooting the Eagles 51 to 10.

Jack Brandstetter scored two goals in the game, and Blake Brady, Sander Lee, Charlie Curti and Hunter Smith each scored one. Curti and Ben O’Borsky both led the White Hawks by scoring four points. Curti assisted in three goals in the game while O’Borsky assisted in four.

MWHS goaltender Andy Seats got the win in the game, stopping all 17 shots he faced.

The White Hawks will play their final games of 2012 when they travel to Little Falls for an end of the year tournament. Their first game of 2013 is on Thursday, Jan. 3 at 7 p.m. at home against Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato.
