Kids’ Company Embarks on Accreditation

Kids’ Company is working on becoming nationally recognized and accredited through the MN Afterschool Accreditation Program (MAAP) for school age child care programs and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) for the preschool child care program. Accreditation is the ultimate indication of program quality. It also provides preschool and school age care professionals with performance indicators, benchmarks of quality to guide program planning, implementation and evaluation. Families who choose accredited programs benefit from knowing that their children are in high quality care. Increasingly families look for accreditation as a ‘seal of approval’ that helps them select the finest care and education programs.
