Royal Happenings: Programming class examines iPad use in business world
The iPad Programming class has spent the quarter exploring the iPad. We started with an introduction to iPads and discussed the impact iPads and technology has had on our society. Students have been analyzing how iPads could be used in the business world and in education.
We have examined many different apps and their capabilities. After reviewing many different types of apps, students have been using the app AppCooker to create mock-ups of apps they have designed. They work through the entire planning process to create a visual display of the user interface of their app.
Students have also started to investigate computer programming to get a full idea of the entire process of creating an app. We have had contact with professionals in the industry who have come to speak with the class about careers in app development.
