Scott A. Lamberton, age 50, of Cologne, passed away on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at his home in Cologne.
Mass of Christian Burial held on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waconia with Father Bennet Tran as celebrant of the Mass. Visitation was Wednesday from 4 to 8 at the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia and one hour prior to the Mass at church; prayer service held Wednesday Evening at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. Kenneth Hinrichs officiating; interment St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
Scott was born on Sept. 22, 1962 in South Bend, Ind., the son of Earl and Norma (Terry) Lamberton. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waconia. On Oct. 9, 1993 Scott was united in marriage to Diane Van Keulen at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waconia by Father Martin Siebenaler.
Scott loved being with his family and friends, never missing any activity that his boys were involved in. He volunteered for his boy’s field trips and the cross country team. He liked to travel to different destinations, his favorite mode of transportation was on an airplane. Scott would go camping with his family, which he truly enjoyed. He would get his snowmobiles ready for the first snow fall in September.
Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents Edna and Leverne Terry, Jessie May and Edwin Lamberton; nephew Nathan Richard Lamberton; step-brother Mark McRoberts.
Scott is survived by his loving family: wife Diane; sons and daughter-in-law Ryan and Rachel Marshall of Vancouver, Wash.; Kyle Lamberton, Matthew Lamberton, Luke Lamberton; grandson Avery Marshall; mother and step-father Norma and Charlie Diethelm of Effie; father and step-mother Earl and Marilyn Lamberton of Chaska; sisters and brothers-in-law Brenda and Walter Stone of Laurel, Maryland, Susan and Rev. Kenneth Hinrichs of Hayward, Wisconsin; brother and sister-in-law Mark and Jan Lamberton of Green Valley, Ariz.; step-sisters and husbands Char and Mike Hanson of Fountain, Wendy and Ronnie Weiland of New Prague; step-brother and wife Michael and Becky McRoberts of Cosmos; father-in-law and mother-in-law Edward and Rose Van Keulen of Young America; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Joan and Jeff Larch of Monticello, Ken Van Keulen and special friend Wanda Hinderscheid of Waconia, Steve Van Keulen of Glencoe, Kris and Troy Hecksel of Watertown; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Memorials will be directed to the education fund of Scott’s sons.
