RMC offers education, support

Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia is hosting a number of upcoming educational opportunities, as well as support groups. There are also volunteer opportunities available. See below for more information.

Advance Care Planning
It is important for people to have accurate information in order to make informed decisions about treatments they would or would not want for end-of-life care. Then it is important to talk about one’s wishes with family members who may need to make health care decisions, and to record your wishes in a document. All are welcome to attend an information session that will explain why advance care planning is important and the steps involved. Sessions will be held Jan. 17, 6:30 p.m.; Jan. 26, 9:30 a.m.; Feb. 28, 6:30 p.m.; and March 2, 9:30 a.m. All sessions will be held at RMC, Waconia. To register for one of these free sessions, call (952) 442-2191, 5575, or visit www.ridgeviewmedical.org/events.

Breast Cancer Support Group
The Breast Cancer Support Group will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 15 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. in Conference Rooms A&B at RMC. This support group provides an opportunity for women to ask questions, share concerns, and offer support to one another in regard to their experiences with breast cancer.
