Pet adoption day
SATURDAY, JAN. 19 – Carver Scott Humane Society volunteers will hold a pet adoption from noon to 3 p.m. It will be hosted at PETCO in Eden Prairie. Kittens, cats and dogs will be available. All cats and dogs have been micro ID implanted, vet checked, wormed, had shots updated, checked for friendly temperaments, and age appropriately spayed/neutered. SATURDAY, JAN. 19 – Watertown Evangelical Free Church will welcome speaker and musician Holly Berry for a women’s event at the church from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Berry is a flutist, speaker and former plus size model who inspires the hearts of others as she shared the message of God’s profound love.

THURSDAY, JAN. 24 – The Transitions Expo will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Waconia Enrichment Center (504 Industrial Blvd). The expo is for families, students (of all ages), and adults with a disability and will feature representatives from several community resources. WHS wrestling night
THURSDAY, JAN. 24 – Waconia Wrestling invites all former Wildcat wrestlers to return to WHS and join parents, fans and wrestling sponsors to cheer on the 2012-13 team as it hosts the New Ulm Eagles in a home dual at 6:30 p.m. Waconia Wrestling alumni will be recognized as will the newest member of the Wildcat Wrestling Hall of Fame. Free admission for all former Waconia wrestlers.

Waconia 2013 Ride-In
JAN. 25-27 – The Waconia 2013 Ride-In will be held at Lake Waconia Regional Park. Includes Ice Breaker Party (Friday night), trail ride, swap meet, auctions, MVSS drag racing, Oval Racers Alliance oval racing, loud snowmobile contest, Saturday night banquet, autograph session, and snowmobile show (Sunday).
