Kara Ketcher, the daughter of Ronald and Susan Ketcher of Norwood Young America was named to the fall 2012-13 academic year dean’s list at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato. Ketcher is a 2011 graduate of Mayer Lutheran High School. In order to be named to the dean’s list, a student must carry at least 14 academic credits and maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average.
Rochester Tech College
Kaitlyn Andersen and Thomas Russell, both of Cologne, were named to the 2012 fall semester dean’s list at Rochester Community and Technical College. To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must successfully complete 12 or more letter-graded credits, in the same semester and achieve a grade point average between 3.0 and 4.0.
A number of local students were named to the 2012 fall semester dean’s list at St. Cloud State University. To be eligible for the honor, students must have a grade point average of 3.75 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
From Cologne: Kristine Loehrs (School of Health and Human Services, Social Work), Nicole Tran (School of Education, Elementary/K-6 Education) and Timothy Walter (School of Health and Human Services, Medical Laboratory Science.
From Hamburg: Jessica Oelfke (School of Education, Elementary/K-6 Education).
From Norwood Young America: Chelsea Kanduth (Undergraduate Education, Undecided), Jake Nelson (College of Liberal Arts, Mass Communications) and Jessica Schmitz (School of Education, Special Education).
A number of local students were named to the dean’s list for academic excellence during the Fall 2012 semester at South Dakota State University. To earn dean’s list distinctions in SDSU’s eight colleges, students must have completed a minimum of 12 credits and must have earned at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Local students qualifying for the honor included Megan Norman of Norwood Young America, Joshua Way of Cologne and Joseph Lucas of Hamburg.
