Frances M. Wohlforth, age 83, of Waconia, passed away Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013 at the Waconia Good Samaritan Center in Waconia.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 at 3 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia with Rev. Helmar Heckel officiating; visitation from 1 to 3 p.m.; interment Lakeview Cemetery, Waconia.
Frances was born on Sept. 15, 1929 in Little Falls, Minn., the daughter of Clarence and Johanna Beto. After graduating from the Little Falls High School, Frances moved to Minneapolis. On Sept. 17, 1949 Frances was united in marriage to Raymond Wohlforth. The couple made their home in Minneapolis and Bloomington before moving to St. Bonifacius.
Frances had worked a few years at a nursing home in Bloomington and had done house cleaning, but her true favorite job was her 17 years at Tonka Toys. Frances suffered the death of her husband Raymond in June of 2006. The following year she moved to Waconia where she has lived since.
Frances enjoyed flower gardening and anything that was crafty, especially ceramics. She loved the trips to the cabin on Lake Ida where she didn’t shy away from the water sports. She also enjoyed singing and listening to country music. Frances cherished the time with her grandchildren.
Frances is preceded in death by her husband Raymond; parents Clarence and Johanna Beto; brothers Karl, Amos, Jim and Roy Beto; sisters Inga and Doris.
Frances is survived by her loving family; children Bruce (Janie) Wohlforth of Kensington, Linda (Mitch) White of Waconia, Greg (Susan) Wohlforth of Minneapolis, Dean (Kelly) Wohlforth of Waconia, Karen Wohlforth of Waconia, Julie (Mark) Chelman of Waconia, Gwen Wohlforth of Chaska; grandchildren Erika (Jason) Knapp-Wilm, David Wohlforth, Sarah Wohlforth, Scott Wohlforth, Kelley Wohlforth, Jeff Wohlforth, Mercy Adams, Max Adams, Lani Wohlforth, Jeff Chelman; great- grandchildren Mac, Drake, Josie, Chase, Jordan, Owen, Scout, Piper, Bailey, Jackson, Ezra, Jude; sister Fern Killingsworth of Emmit, Idaho; brother Morris “Muncie” (Jan) Beto of Kelldeer, Illinois; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Casket Bearers are Grandchildren.
