Waconia wrestling night
THURSDAY, JAN. 24 – Waconia Wrestling invites all former Wildcat wrestlers to return to WHS and join parents, fans and wrestling sponsors to cheer on the 2012-13 team as it hosts the New Ulm Eagles in a home dual at 6:30 p.m. Waconia Wrestling alumni will be recognized as will the newest member of the Wildcat Wrestling Hall of Fame. Free admission for all former WHS wrestlers.

Waconia 2013 Ride-In
JAN. 25-27 – The Waconia 2013 Ride-In will be held at Lake Waconia Regional Park. Includes Ice Breaker Party (Friday night), trail ride, swap meet, auctions, MVSS drag racing, Oval Racers Alliance oval racing, loud snowmobile contest, Saturday night banquet, autograph session, and snowmobile show (Sunday). SATURDAY, JAN. 26 – Sponsored by the Orono Lions, the Snowball Open is a full 18 hole golf course built for one day on Long Lake (Hennepin County) in the middle of winter. Caregiver Support group
MONDAY, JAN. 28 – Encore’s Carver County Adult Day Services Program and Emerald Crest Assisted Living Memory Care have partnered up to provide a Caregiver Support Group to address the issues of caring for the aging. This is a great opportunity to meet and talk with other caregivers and local senior professionals to gain insight, resources and support! MONDAY, JAN. 28 – Carver County Public Health (600 E 4th ST, Chaska) will hold an Immunization Clinic from 3 to 5 p.m. Public Health provides immunizations to residents who do not have health insurance or whose insurance does not cover immunizations. FRIDAY, FEB. 1 – Early Childhood Screening is a free service offered by District 110 staff that will check a child’s overall development and health. FEB. 4-5 – The WHS Instrumental Music Department presents “Backstage Jazz Dinner Concerts” at the high school at 6 p.m. both nights.
