Viewers of ABC’s “The Bachelor” premiere two weeks ago saw bachelor Sean Lowe meet 26 beautiful young women, enjoy a cocktail party, and then decide which seven he was going to send home. There was Lindsay, a substitute teacher who showed up in a wedding gown; Ashley P., who wanted to reenact 50 Shades of Grey; and Tierra, who received a rose within moments of stepping out of the limousine. One bachelorette that possibly flew below viewers’ radar was Paige, a pretty brunette in a blue dress.
Although New York City was listed as her hometown on the show, 25-year-old Paige Vigil actually hails from Waconia. Born in Michigan, Vigil’s family moved to Waconia when she was in the sixth grade. A 2006 graduate of Waconia High School, Vigil went on to the University of Minnesota, graduating in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in journalism and communications.
After graduation, Vigil received a call from the MTV Network, where she had interned as a junior, offering her a position in Times Square as a jumbotron operator. Vigil moved to the Big Apple for over a year, and loved it.
