Waconia show choirs preparing for Star Power on Feb. 16

The competitive show choir season continues for Waconia High School. In the program’s most recent action, Power Company (varsity) and The Current (JV) traveled to Eau Claire, Wis., to compete at Winterfest on Saturday, Feb. 2. At the event, both groups finished in second place in their respective divisions.
This week, Waconia competes in Showcase at Logan High School in La Crosse, Wis., on Saturday, Feb. 9.

2013 Star Power
Don’t forget to mark your calendars for Star Power, which is Waconia’s annual opportunity to host a show choir competition. The event will be held at Waconia High School on Saturday, Feb. 16.
The exciting event traditionally draws thousands of spectators and groups from as far away as Indianapolis. This day showcases anywhere from 17-20 show choirs competing for the title of Grand Champion.
The doors open at 7:15 a.m. for the preliminary competition and 7:45 p.m. for the finals competition. For more information on Star Power, including ticket prices, visit www.waconiachoirs.org.
