Creative Dramatics
Homeward Bound Theatre Company will offer “Creative Dramatics” on Tuesdays, Feb. 26 through March 19 from 2:45 to 4:15 p.m. at Bayview Elementary School in Waconia. Pet adoption event

SATURDAY, FEB. 16 – Carver Scott Humane Society volunteers will hold a pet adoption from noon to 3 p.m. at PETCO in Eden Prairie. Kittens, cats and dogs available. All cats, dogs have been micro ID implanted, vet checked, wormed, had shots updated, checked for friendly temperaments, and age appropriately spayed/neutered. Star Power

SATURDAY, FEB. 16 – Star Power, WHS’ annual show choir competition, will be held at Waconia High School. The day showcases anywhere from 17-20 show choirs competing for the title of Grand Champion. Caregiver Support Group

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 27 – Encore’s Carver County Adult Day Services Program and Emerald Crest Assisted Living Memory Care provide a monthly Caregiver Support Group to address the issues of caring for the aging. This month’s caregiver support group will meet at Ridgeview Medical Center’s Auditorium from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Topic: “The Turning Point” presented by Dr. Joseph Gaugler and Mark Reese, from the University of Minnesota’s School of Nursing. Early Childhood screen.

FEB. 28 & MARCH 1 – Early Childhood Screening is a free service offered by District 110 staff that will check a child’s overall development and health. Recommended screening age is between the ages of 3 1/2 and 4 years.
