W-M BPA members qualify for state
The Watertown-Mayer High School Business Professionals of America Students competed at the Regional conference at Eden Prairie High School on Monday, Jan. 28.
Of the 34 Watertown students that competed, 20 will advance to the state competition. The qualifying students and their events are as follows: Ryan Johnson, 3rd place in Economic research;
Charles Saing, 5th place in Medical office procedures; Nicholas Denomme, 3rd place in fundamentals of web design; Hannah Johnson, 4th place in fundamentals of web design; Gillian Kelly, 4th place in presentation management.
Taking 1st in Parliamentary Procedures (team): Nick Tschida, Abby Hatling, Allison Lague, Devyn Giese, Kailey Carrabre, Ashley Kelzer, Allyson Matrella, and Aaron Sweeney. Taking 2nd in this same event were: Ashley Wiswell, Olivia Nolan, Lacey Sullivan, Hailey Smith, Sydney Lague, Alyssa Kolb, Hannah Hulley and Tori Duckworth.
Also receiving Diplomat Torch Awards at this event were Rachel Heidorn, Allison Lague and Elizabeth Vouk.
