Enjoy ‘A Journey Through Winter’ in March
Join Carver County Parks Department and the Carver County Historical Society for a great event designed for the whole family. The event is called “A Journey Through Winter” and provides a day of unique opportunities for the entire family.
Cross-country skiing, snow shelter building, winter survival, winter geocaching … the winter conditions will determine outdoor recreation programming.
Enjoy the morning with Historical Society and Park staff, break for lunch (not provided) and save plenty of energy and excitement for a unique presentation from Points Unknown — a dog sledding adventure outfit.
This event is perfect for the entire family. Come out to the Community Room at Baylor Regional Park in NYA on Sunday, March 3. The event will conclude at 5 p.m.
Pre-registration is required for this event, with a deadline of Feb. 25. Registration fees are $15 per person, which will include Park admission and equipment use.
For assistance with registration, call the Historical Society Office at (952) 442-4234 (M-F 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.). Additional information can be found on the Park website (www.co.carver.mn.us/parks — click “Upcoming Events & Programs”) or by calling the Park Office at (952) 466-5250.
