CCLS Report: Busy times at CCLS

They say that “March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb.” When they said that they were referring to the weather, but it could also describe activities at Christ Community Lutheran School.

On Thursday, March 7, we will be having our Preschool Open House and Kindergarten Round-Up. Both events will be from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m.

What sets CCLS apart in each of these special educational areas?

CCLS is a licensed preschool that offers three different programs for parents. We have a three-year-old preschool program that runs on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. We have a 4-year-old program that runs on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings and we have a Pre-K class (4’s and 5’s) that runs every afternoon, five days a week. A loving, caring teacher who holds certification in Early Childhood education and Elementary Education teaches our preschool classes. She knows how to prepare kids for life long learning! The relationships that she has with these children are amazing!

In Kindergarten, CCLS was the first program in Carver County to move to a five-Day, full-day program back in the fall of 2001. Our program is dedicated to making kindergarten a special place for those children. It is a place filled with language development and emergent literacy. The focus is on each child as an individual with an understanding that all children learn at a different pace. Our teacher has many years of experience and has a knack for connecting with each and every child and getting to know them as individuals. Hands on learning her focus with kids every day.

What else sets them apart from other programs? CCLS shares with each child that they are a special creation. God made them, He loves them and He redeemed them! They have hope, assurance and Grace.

If you want to give your child a gift that will last a lifetime, consider an early childhood option at CCLS. Nothing will change your child’s life like knowing that Jesus loves them!

CCLS is also completing our second round of NWEA MAP Testing, which we do with all students in grades 1-8. Our students’ scores have been very impressive. It is one of many indications of the dedication of our staff, students and parents to making education relevant and challenging.

Parents interested in making a choice for education that is enduring and filled with blessings should contact CCLS. Everyone is welcome to attend. More information is available at www.ccls.net .

A community wide Easter egg hunt will be held at CCLS on Saturday, March 30th! Watch for more information. Everyone is welcome to attend!
