Ridgeview Medical Center and Intergenerational Living and Health Care, Inc. (ILHC) will collaborate to develop a new senior living community in Chaska. The Legends at Hazeltine (The Legends) will be built at the northeast corner of Highway 41 and Hazeltine Boulevard, in Chaska.
Construction is slated to begin in the spring of 2013, with an opening in the fall of 2014. The community will offer 125 apartments of assisted living, memory care and care suites, and will operate on an innovative approach that advocates for residents in navigating health care systems. The Legends at Hazeltine will be owned in a joint-partnership between Ridgeview Medical Center and ILHC. The Goodman Group will provide development and management services.
The Legends brings together private, public and non-profit sectors. It will be the first community of its kind to offer vertical integration of health services in a residential setting. Trained health care staff will use evolving technology to provide residents with information to simplify access to health care providers and records, and will educate them on traditional and alternative treatment choices.
In addition, The Legends will expand on the care and services provided by Ridgeview’s Two Twelve Medical Center in Chaska, and Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia. Future plans for The Legends include an outpatient rehabilitation center and sub acute transitional care on-site.
