Happy Easter

We at the Stifter house want to wish all of my readers a Happy and Joyous Easter!

Senior Citizens to meet

The Senior Commission of Mayer will sponsor a pot luck dinner on Monday, April 1, at the Mayer Community Center. Anyone 55 and older is welcome to join us for the meal, which is served at 11:30 a.m. The game of bunco will be played with departure time about 1:30. Bring a dish of food for the banquet table and friend to share it with.

Zion School News

A spelling bee will be held at Mayer Lutheran High School for area grade school students on April 6 staring at 9 a.m.

June 10-14 is the date set for the Vacation Bible School for this year at Zion. Mark your calendar. Theme for this year will be “Tell it On the Mountain: Where Jesus Christ is Lord.” Registration opens on April 26. You may register your child(ren) online at

Dates of Importance

Friday, March 29 – Garbage and recycle pick up. Have bins at curbside by 7 a.m.

Monday, April 1 – Mayer Senior Commission pot-luck dinner at the Mayer Community Center beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Monday, April 1 – Members of the Mayer Fire Department will have a business meeting starting at 7 p.m.
