Barb J. Schoeneck, age 52, of Watertown, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013 at her residence.
Funeral service was held at 3 p.m. on Monday, March 25, 2013 at the Trinity Lutheran Church (601 2nd Street E.) in Waconia with Rev. Phil Wagner as officiant. Visitation held at the church Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment in the church cemetery.
Barbara J. “Barb” Schoeneck was born Feb. 11, 1961 in West Allis, Wis., the daughter of Donald and Marjorie (Vaughn) Shively. Barb was united in marriage with Jeffrey A. Schoeneck on Nov. 19, 1983 in West Allis. Barb was a dedicated daycare provider in the extended care program for Trinity Lutheran School in Waconia. Barb was also proud of her work as a paraprofessional.
Barb was an avid reader and loved to play games with Uno being one of her favorites. She enjoyed making crafts and attending her children’s activities. Barb was very active at Trinity Lutheran where she knew everyone. Attending Wednesday morning coffee was a weekly routine. She will be remembered as a loving wife and mother who was very social and loved to be with others.
Barb is preceded in death by her father Donald Shively, brother Larry Shively, father-in-law and mother-in-law Alfred and Phyllis Schoeneck.
Barb is survived by her loving family: husband Jeff Schoeneck of Watertown; children Joel Schoeneck, Becky Schoeneck, Rachel Schoeneck, all of Watertown; mother Marjorie Shively of New Berlin, Wis.; brothers and sisters-in-law Scott and Judi Shively of Plano, Texas, Mark Shively of Chattanooga, Tenn., Dale and Cathy Shively of Wauwatosa, Wis., Colleen Shively of Madison, Wis.; nieces and nephews Kristin Shively Taylor, David and Emily Shively, Stephanie and David Darrow, Jessie Shively, Michelle and Michael Nettum, Laura Shively, Susie Shively; great niece KD Taylor; as well as other relatives and many dear friends.
