Magic and More
THURSDAYS, APRIL 4 TO 18 — Homeward Bound Theatre Company will offer “Magic and More” from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Central Elementary School in NYA. In this offering, 3rd through 5th graders will amaze their family and friends when they share with them illusions learned, as they perform magic tricks perfected and much more! Women’s luncheon
FRIDAY, APRIL 5 — The 17th Annual All Saints Women’s Outreach Luncheon will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Come enjoy homemade salads, breads and desserts. There is a cost to attend. Take outs are available. All Saints Church is located on North Hwy 212 in NYA next to Young America Corp.

Nelson Band concert
SATURDAY, APRIL 6 — A concert featuring the Cindy Cole Nelson Band will take place at 4 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Green Isle Township, located between Green Isle and Arlington, off Hwy 5. Central salt sale
SATURDAY, APRIL 6 — The Central High School wrestling, softball and golf teams will be selling softener salt at the high school parking lot from 8 a.m. to noon. Interested people can come and pick up salt if they have not already preordered with one of the student-athletes. Money is due at time of pick up. Prices vary per bag depending on type needed.

Legion meeting
TUESDAY, APRIL 9 — The American Legion Post 343 will be holding its annual dinner meeting at MidTown Cafe at 6:30 p.m. The business meeting will begin at 7 p.m. This will be the meeting to elect officers for 2013-14. The Veteran’s Park, Legion Baseball, Chicken BBQ, and jacket purchase will be discussed. All members plan to attend this meeting and voice your comments and issues for the good of the organization.

Roast beef dinner
FRIDAY, APRIL 12 — A roast beef dinner to support Peace Village Campus activities will be held at The Harbor from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is the campus’ sixth annual spring fundraiser. No reservations needed. Takeouts available by calling ahead to (952) 467-3692. There will also be a bake sale.

Salad Luncheon
FRIDAY, APRIL 12 — A Salad Luncheon will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ (308 1st Street NE) in Plato. Sponsored by St. Paul’s UCC Women’s Guild. There is a cost to attend. Cookbooks available for purchase.

Stop and Shop
SATURDAY, APRIL 20 — Stop by and Shop at the Relay for Life Vendor Show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Pavilion in Norwood Young America. Vendors from Dove Chocolates, Arbonne, Pampered Chef, Norwex, Premier Jewelry, Party Lite, Origami Owl, Herbalife, Scentsy, painted creations by Ken Woolridge and more. Baked goods and lunch will also be available for purchase.

Cologne FD steak fry
SATURDAY, APRIL 27 — The Cologne Fire Department Relief Association’s annual Steak Fry (10 oz. steak with fixings) will be held at the Cologne Fire Station from 3 to 8 p.m. There is a cost to attend the dinner.

Baby shower
SATURDAY, APRIL 27 — Celebrate healthy babies and families by joining women, partners, friends and families for the first ever Community Baby Shower from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Chaska Community Center (1661 Park Ridge Drive, Chaska). Along with informational presentations and a resource fair, the event will feature activities for adults and children, light refreshments and prizes. All Saints VBS
MONDAY, JUNE 10 TO THURSDAY, JUNE 13 — All Saints Lutheran Church will have Vacation Bible School June 10-13, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. for age 3-grade 6 (entering fall 2013). Everyone is welcome.
