Good Samaritan Society – Waconia, Westview Acres to renovate, remodel

GoodSamBWThe Good Samaritan Society – Waconia and Westview Acres has received approval from the State of Minnesota to renovate and remodel the rehabilitation and skilled care center as well as construct a new three-level post-acute care addition.
The 35-year-old rehabilitation and skilled care center is in need of enhancements and improvements. The new design will feature a neighborhood concept, and the renovation will provide all long-term care residents their own private rooms and bathrooms.
The three-level post-acute addition will allow guests to recover in a supportive and comfortable atmosphere after surgery, illness or injury.
Construction will begin this fall. During construction, Good Samaritan Society – Waconia and Westview Acres will continue to provide its full continuum of care services.
“With this project approval, we are pleased to offer enhanced healthcare options and demonstrate our continuous efforts to revitalize the Waconia area,” said Administrator Rebecca Bollig.
The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society is the nation’s largest not-for-profit provider of long-term care and senior services. The Society, founded in 1922, owns and operates more than 240 long-term healthcare centers and retirement living communities.
The Society’s mission is to share God’s love in word and deed by providing shelter and services to older persons and others in need, believing that “In Christ’s Love, Everyone Is Someone.”
