On April 8, 2013 the City Council of the City of Mayer approved Ordinance 188, entitled, ‘An Ordinance Repealing and Replacing Sections 152.120-152.133 of Title XV of the Code of Ordinances of the City Of Mayer Relating to Signage’. The Ordinance in its entirety is available for review and/or photocopying during regular office hours at the City of Mayer, 413 Bluejay Avenue, Mayer, MN 55360. The Ordinance regulates the number, location, size, type, illumination, and other physical characteristics of signs within the city in order to promote the public health, safety, and welfare. The Ordinance provides for an effective means of communication, consistent with constitutional guarantees and the city’s goals of public safety and aesthesis. The Ordinance also provides for fair and consistent enforcement of sign regulations under the zoning authority of the city.
