Clarence A. Brown, age 70, of Waconia, passed away Monday, April 1, 2013 at his residence.
Mass Of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 5, 2013 at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (41 E. First St.) in Waconia with Fr. Bennet Tran as celebrant.  Interment in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia and Friday at the church one hour prior to the Mass.
Clarence Arthur Brown was born Jan. 31, 1943 in Waconia, the son of John F. and Mary C. (Jansen) Brown. He was baptized and confirmed at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waconia. On July 25, 1964 Clarence was united in marriage with Karen J. Vargason at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church by Fr. Kauer.
Clarence was the owner/operator of Brown’s Trucking for many years. He was proud of the fact that he’d lived on the home place his entire life. Clarence loved hunting, trap shooting, dancing to classic country music and was a “Jack of All Trades” who could fix almost everything. He enjoyed having coffee with the “Boys” at McDonalds and hanging out with the “Groupies” of many country bands.  He looked forward to attending the Carver County Fair where he could go on rides with his grandchildren. Clarence loved his family very much and was now enjoying doing things with his great grandsons.
Clarence is preceded in death by his parents John and Mary Brown, father-in-law and mother-in-law Albert and Geraldine Vargason, brothers-in-law Loren Vargason, Bill Regan; aunts and uncles.
Clarence is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Karen Brown of Waconia; son Bill Brown of Waconia; daughter and son-in-law Wendy and Jeff Eischens of Waconia; grandchildren Amanda and Rob Johnson of Waconia, Nicole Eischens and special friend Mike Dressel of Waconia, Ryan Eischens of Waconia, Amber Brown of Belle Plaine; great-grandsons Bradley Eischens and Clayton Johnson; siblings and spouses Edward and Shirley Brown of Aitken, Florence Regan of St. Paul, Jerome Brown of Waconia, Jim and Sharon Brown of Cologne, Jean and Lloyd Laumann of Waconia; as well as other relatives and many friends.
Serving as casket bearers Jim Brown Jr., Steve Brown, Russ Schneewind, Al Koenig, Mike Hoen, Greg Laumann and as honorary casket bearers Ryan Eischens, Bradley Eischens and Clayton Johnson.
