The Waconia American Legion holds a sheephead tournament at 7 p.m. on Thursdays and a Texas hold ‘em tournament at 7 and 9 p.m. on Fridays. The Waconia VFW holds a meat raffle Fridays at 7 p.m. and bingo at 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
Softener Salt Sale
The Waconia wrestling and baseball teams have kicked off their annual spring water softener salt sale. District 110 residents can order salt and have it delivered to their homes on Saturday, April 27. Three types of softener salt are available, including coarse, pellet and iron. Men’s softball league
Waconia Parks & Recreation’s Men’s Slow Pitch Softball Doubleheader league registration is now open through Thursday, April 11 or until the league is full, whichever comes first. All teams will be sanctioned through the American Softball Association (ASA). Games played on Wednesday evenings between 7-10 p.m. Softball season runs May 8-July 31, barring no rainouts.
