Friends of the Waconia Library thank all the local citizens who patronized and helped to make our Book Sale on April 13 a great success. We give special thanks to Troop #327 Boy Scouts, their parents, troop event contact, Melissa Nelson and Scoutmaster, Brant Shultz, for their help in setting up and taking down, as well as our 30-some volunteer members who gave so generously of their time and effort. We also thank all those who donated their used books for the sale. We urge folks to continue to donate gently used books, year ‘round. You may drop them off at the library, Monday through Saturday. We are planning to have our next sale on Nickle Dickle Day in September. Proceeds from these sales are used for a variety of items and a number of programs not covered by the County Library budget.
Last, but certainly not least, we extend a hearty thanks to The Patriot for helping us to “get the word out” with articles regarding our library activities.
