Pugh is ‘Provider of the Year’

2013 marks the 23rd Anniversary of Week of the Family Child Care Provider.
Each year the Carver County Licensed Child Care Association (CCLCCA) honors a licensed family child care provider. This provider will represent Carver County at the Minnesota Licensed Family Child Care Banquet held at the Grande Kahler Hotel and Rochester Marriott in Rochester, Minn., on Saturday, May 4.
This year, seven licensed family child care providers were nominated from Carver County for this honor.
Katie Pugh of Norwood Young America will represent Carver County for 2013. Pugh has promoted in-home licensed family child care in her community, demonstrated professional skills and has had a positive impact on the lives of young children.
Pugh was nominated through the, which was established in 1985.
The association was founded as an independent non-profit organization of licensed family child care providers concerned about child care and committed to further development of child care programs through cooperative actions to guide providers to quality care.
It offers monthly training to members and opportunities for further networking with other providers.
May 5-11, 2013 has been proclaimed by Governor Mark Dayton as “Week of the Family Child Care Provider.” CCLCCA officials remind parents to take time during this week to show their appreciation to their provider and thank them for all they do for the children they care for and their families.
