Gladys A. Kaufhold, age 86, of Waconia, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Auburn Home in Waconia.
Mass Of Christian Burial held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday April 23, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (41 E. First St.) in Waconia with Fr. Bennet Tran as celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery.  Visitation held at the church Tuesday one hour prior to the Mass.
Gladys Agnes (Eitel) Kaufhold was born the daughter of John and Laura (Gaulke) Eitel on Feb. 21, 1927 in Chaska. She was baptized and confirmed at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Chaska. On July 21, 1945 Gladys was united in marriage with Alvin Kaufhold in Key West, Fla., by Fr. Grinies. This union was blessed with daughters Bonnie, Nancy and Laurie.
Upon Alvin’s honorable discharge from the United States Navy, the couple moved to Waconia. Gladys was a faithful member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and the Daughters Of Isabella. Often Gladys would volunteer serving funeral luncheons. She enjoyed playing golf, embroidery, gardening, traveling, and word find puzzles. Gladys was an outstanding cook and enjoyed sharing with others. She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Gladys is preceded in death by her husband Alvin Kaufhold, parents John and Laura Eitel, two brothers and one sister.
Gladys is survived by her loving family: daughters and sons-in-law Bonnie and Jim Wing of Bella Vista, Ariz., Nancy and Roger Thiede of Victoria, Laurie and Terry Munson of Sun City, Ariz.; grandchildren and their spouses Eric and Alisha Wing, Kristine and Nate Moser, Aaron and Kari Wing, Jamie and Jeremie Boyett, Bobbie Jo Munson; great grandchildren Alex Forbes, Zachary Boyett, Katelyn Moser, Brandon Boyett, Lilly Wing, Caleb Boyett, Nataly Wing, Kate Wing, Lucy Wing; as well as other relatives and friends.
Serving as casket bearers Roger Thiede, Jim Wing, Terry Munson, Eric Wing, Aaron Wing, Dennis Johnson and Gary Eitel.
