Watertown Farmer’s Market
Thursdays this summer, 3:30-6:30 p.m. – Plans are under way for the 2013 Watertown Farmer’s market. We are currently looking for vendors. We will host the market in the parking lot by the City offices. Vendor fee is $25 for the season and is $15 for the season for vendors 18 and younger. JAM! Jesus and Me!
Wednesdays - Program designed to help kids think bigger, better and grander thoughts of our awesome God! Meets every Wednesday at Peace Lutheran Church in Watertown from 3-6 p.m. A time for all kids in grades 1-5 to grow in their own personal relationship with Jesus Christ and learn how to build Christian relationships with others. We will be studying God’s Word, teaching how to apply it to their lives, having fun with arts/crafts, music, skits, games and fellowship! Also homework time and light supper served. May 1-5 – The Watertown Library is looking for volunteers to box up the books in the library and take down the shelves in preparation for the remodel of the library. Those interested in doing so are asked to either sign up at the library for volunteer shifts or call the library to sign up.

Robin Harkess Benefit
Sat., May 4, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Benefit at Dave’s Town Club in Delano will include silent auction and raffle. Suggested donation of $5 per meal. Robin was diagnosed with Scleroderma in December 2012. The autoimmune disease affects the skin and internal organs such as the GI tract, lungs, kidney and heart. Robin and her husband Mark are longtime rural Delano residents. Robin has been dealing with cancer for the last 18 years and a brain disease for the last eight years.
Amazing History Race
Sat., May 4, 1-4 p.m. – “Race” through 5 exciting activities within Carver Park Reserve that Lowry Nature Center and Carver County Historical Society staff have created. Station activities will include trying pioneer chores and games, fishing the old-fashioned way, practice hunting like a Native American, and identifying animal tracks and wild plants that pioneers ate. Bring your own picnic lunch to enjoy during the event and end at Lowry Nature Center with a treat for having completed the race! Reservations required. Pet adoption day
Sat., May 4, noon-3 p.m. – Carver Scott Humane Society volunteers will hold a pet adoption at PETCO in Chaska. Kittens, and cats ages 5 months to ten-years-old will be available. Dogs four months to 10 years will be there. All cats and dogs have been micro ID implanted, vet checked, wormed, had shots updated, checked for friendly temperaments, and age appropriately spayed/neutered. Fees Apply. Carver walking tour
Sat., June 8, 8-10 a.m. – The Carver County Historical Society announces a Historic Carver Walking Tour. Enjoy a walk through the beautiful Historic Downtown Carver, on the National Register of Historic Places. One of the only Historic Districts in Minnesota, this area is full of history. The tour will be led by John Von Walter, expert and historian with Carver-on-the-Minnesota, Inc. This event is free and open to the public.
