OBITS - Thaemert Michael

Mike E. Thaemert, 38, of Mayer passed away on Tuesday April 23, 2013 at his home in Mayer.
Mike was born on Sept. 1, 1974 in Watertown, the son of Earl and Diane (Anderson) Thaemert. He was baptized at St. Mark Lutheran Church in New Germany and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Young America.
Mike loved everyone with all of his heart, especially his godchildren and his nieces and nephews. He had a strong work ethic, getting done what needed to be done every day. Mike was an avid sports fan enjoying the Vikings and Twins or whatever sport was being played. He enjoyed bartending and cooking at the T-Road, also playing darts, horseshoes and shooting pool for the bar. Mike was a huge country music fan. Mike was employed at Chaska Machine Tool as a shipping manager.
Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents Ellsworth Thaemert and Harold Anderson and Uncle David Thaemert.
Mike is survived by his loving family: parents, Earl and Diane Thaemert of Norwood Young America; sisters and brother-in-law, Michelle Baumgarten of Norwood Young America and Melanie and Joe Moberg of Hamburg; special friend, Katie Taylor of New Germany; grandmothers, Lucille Thaemert of New Germany and Betty Anderson of Le Sueur; nieces and nephews, Dylan and Brianna Baumgarten and Ryan and Emily Moberg; aunts and uncles, Donna and Dave Stresemann of Westbrook, Bob and Patrice Thaemert of Ft. Myers, Fla., Bonnie Thaemert of Hamburg, Dexter Anderson and special friend Sandy Livgard of Mahtowa, Dennis Anderson of Burnsville, Doug and Diane Anderson of Dayton, Dean and Jill Anderson of Le Sueur, Kurt Anderson of Gaylord, Neal Anderson of Glencoe and Jane Anderson of St. Cloud; cousins; other relatives; and friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 27, at 11 a.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church in New Germany with Rev. LeRoy LaPlant officiating. Visitation was Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and for one hour prior to the church on Saturday, all at St. Mark Lutheran Church in New Germany. There was a prayer service at 7 p.m. on Friday evening. Interment was at St. Mark Lutheran Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Joe Moberg, Chad Koehnen, Jamie Feltmann, Brad Brabec, Ryan Mader and Brian Stresemann.
