FRIDAYS – The location for the Friday night 8 p.m. AA and Al-Anon meetings will be held at Waconia Moravian Church (209 E. 2nd St.) from May 3-Oct. 31.

St. Victoria sale

MAY 9-10 – The St. Victoria Council of Catholic United Financial is having a matching grant rummage sale from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 9 and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 10. Friday is bag and bargain day. Sale at St. Victoria Parish Center (8228 Victoria Dr.). All proceeds given to parish education program.

Shoppin’ For A Cure

THURSDAY, MAY 9 – The Relay For Life of NYA team Wischin’ For A Cure is hosting a Vendor, Book and Bake Sale from 5 to 9 p.m. at the pavilion in NYA. Vendors include Tupperware, Pampered Chef, Dove Chocolate, Daisy Blue, Tastefully Simple, Celebrating Home, Party Lite, Beauti Control, Norwex, Scentsy, Usborne Books, Paparazzi and Thirty One.

Holocaust lecture
THURSDAY, MAY 9 – As part of the 2013 Holocaust Lecture Series, Central High School welcomes Dr. Robert O. Fisch, a survivor of the Mauthausen and Gunskirchen Concentration Camps, who will speak from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the auditorium at Central High School. Open to the public.

SATURDAY, MAY 11 – A steak fry dinner will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. at American Legion Post 150 (233 Olive Street, Waconia). Includes baked potato, cole slaw, bread, beverage.

Plant, bake sale
SATURDAY, MAY 11 – East Union’s Spring Thing! Plant & Bake Sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at East Union Lutheran Church (15180 CR 40, Carver).

Immunization Clinic

MONDAY, MAY 13 – Carver County Public Health (600 E 4th St, Chaska) will hold an Immunization Clinic from 3 to 5 p.m. Public Health provides immunizations to residents who don’t have health insurance or whose insurance does not cover immunizations. MBC Blood Drive

Rock On Ice

Yellow Ribbon event

FRIDAY, MAY 17 – The NYA-Beyond the Yellow Ribbon campaign will hold its 4th annual Yellow Ribbon Honor Banquet at 6 p.m. at the Willkommen Memorial Park Pavilion in NYA. Speaker: Major General (Ret) Larry Shellito, Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs. Banquet honors all local service members and veterans and is again open to everyone. CA Spring Fling

SATURDAY, MAY 18 – The 5th annual Cologne Academy Spring Fling will be held at Cologne Academy.
