William Vincent Walsh, 94.

Bill flew B-29s with the 20th Air Force in the Pacific during WWII. He also trained as bombardier and navigator.
He was called back to duty with Strategic Air Command (SAC) during the Korean Conflict.
Besides his wife Elsie, horses were the other big love of his life, and he passed that enthusiasm along to his children and grandchildren, and to his many friends. He was a Charter member of the Carver County Mounted Sheriff’s Posse. In 1992 he was awarded Horseman of The Year by the Minnesota Horse Council. He was Master of the Horses at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival for 25 years, a judge in the Western Saddle Club Association (WSCA) for 20 years, and owner of WW Ranch Training and Boarding Stable in Chaska, Minn., with wife Elsie for over 40 years.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents William and Mayme Walsh and brother Gerald (Jerry) Walsh,.
He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Elsie.
Also by his sister Elaine (Pat) Kacher; daughters Cheryl Hastings (Don) of Baldwin, Wis.; Pamela Ely (Tom) of Paris, Mo.; Trish Blackledge (Vic) of Cologne, Minn., and son William Walsh (Lyn) of Owatonna, Minn.; grandchildren Luke Bellville, Katey Bellville O’Hern, Kimberly Murnane, Jessica Dodge, Erin Blackledge, Kimi Blackledge, Anwyn Walsh, and Megan Mercier; and great-grandchildren Eli Larson, Riley Larson, Alexandra Murnane, Ryan Murnane, Luli and Rowen Mercier.
There will be a private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
