Jonathan T. Timm, 24, of Cologne passed away on Monday April 29, 2013.
Jonathan Thomas Timm was born the son of Paul and Julie (Westgard) Sloan on April 10, 1989, in Minneapolis. Jonathan’s father Paul died when he was just 23 months old. He attended elementary school in Burnsville and in 2000 his family moved to Cologne. Jonathan was a 2007 graduate of the Central High School in Norwood Young America.
Jonathan enjoyed watching and playing baseball, watching MMA, gaming and music. He often submitted articles to MMA publications and postings. He had a huge caring heart and was eager to volunteer when there was an opportunity, such as serving as a team captain for Relay for Life. His great smile, positive attitude and sensitive nature will always be remembered.
Jonathan is preceded in death by his father Paul Sloan and grandmother Bonnie Timm.
Jonathan is survived by his loving family parents, Julie and Corey Timm of Cologne; brothers, Justin Timm of Cologne and Jacob Timm of Cologne; grandparents, Richard and Mary Westgard of Edina, Dale Timm and his wife Phyllis of Savage; aunts and uncles, Diane and Ed Cortes of Helena, Ala., Patti West of Eagan, David Westgard of St. Louis Park, Kevin and Sue Timm of Austin, Texas, Deirdre Larkin and fiancé Kevin Richards of Chandler, Ariz.; as well as cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.
Memorial service celebrating the life of Jonathan Timm was held at 4 p.m. on Monday, May 6, at the Westwood Community Church in Excelsior with Rev. Kevin Sharpe as officiant. Visitation was held Monday from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.
