Watertown Farmer’s Market
Thursdays this summer, 3:30-6:30 p.m. – Plans are under way for the 2013 Watertown Farmer’s market. We are currently looking for vendors. We will host the market in the parking lot by the City offices. Vendor fee is $25 for the season and is $15 for the season for vendors 18 and younger. Dog Weight Pull
Sun., May 26, noon. – Blue Collar Bulldogs will host a fun weight pull for dogs of any breed at Highland Park. It’s a great way to introduce your dog to the sport. Mon., May 27, 10 a.m. – A Memorial Day Service will be held at Highland Park at 10:00 a.m. by the Watertown American Legion Eugene Earley Post 121. If weather is inclement it will be held at the W-M High School Performing Arts Center.
Mayer Moves For Moxie 5K run/walk
Sat, June 1, 9 a.m. – Inaugural Mayer Moves for Moxie 5K walk/run. Registration day of event from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. Race will start at the Mayer Community Center and end at the Mayer Community Center 413 Bluejay Avenue. Course is fast, flat and fun! Event starts at 9 a.m. First Place Prizes male $50 and First Place female $50.
Small business workshop
Thur., June 6, 4:30-6:30 p.m. – Promote Your Business with Facebook. Facebook is a great tool for a small business or organization to use to increase social media presence. But where do you start and find the time to fit it all in? Learn how to set up a business Facebook page, distribute consistent information, grow your fan base and set up editorial calendars at this workshop at the Norwood Young America Library. Carver walking tour
Sat., June 8, 8-10 a.m. – The Carver County Historical Society announces a Historic Carver Walking Tour. Enjoy a walk through the beautiful Historic Downtown Carver, on the National Register of Historic Places. One of the only Historic Districts in Minnesota, this area is full of history. The tour will be led by John Von Walter, expert and historian with Carver-on-the-Minnesota, Inc. This event is free and open to the public. St. Paul’s Day Camp
June 10-14 – St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and Camp Omega are teaming up to bring Day Camp to Watertown at Christ Community Lutheran School. Join us for a week of Christ-centered songs, skits, games and many more activities. Registration and health forms can be picked up at either CCLS or at St. Paul’s.
