Central students take part in Envirothon Meet

Envirothon team advisor Jim Mesik brought seven students from Central High School to participate in the Metro Area Envirothon in Chaska at the Landscape Arboretum on Thursday, May 2. Due to unseasonably cold weather and a threat of possible snowfall, the event was indoors for the day. Still, the students enjoyed the competition, which included highly competitive stations for soils, wildlife, forestry and aquatics. Additionally, there was a current events topic presentation on a cattle grazing plan. This year’s team members were, front row,: Paige Schlecter, Kim Norman, Mikayla Meuhring and Stephanie Schlegelmilch. Back row: James Lemke, Brandon Fabel and Dillon Rolf. (Submitted photo)
