The Royals finished in third place on the front nine with a 210 and in second-place on the back nine with a 207. Overall, the Royals finished the season with a score of 1,249, behind Belle Plaine (1,205) and Jordan (1,226).
Jordan’s Trianna Thong won the conference title at 30-over-par for the season, but the Royals had two finish in the top eight to earn all Minnesota River Conference honors. Hallie Harding, an honorable-mention all-conference player last year, finished in fifth place this year at 61-over-par. Tiffany Anderson finished at 75-over-par to finish in eighth place.
The MRC finale was played in rainy conditions in Glencoe on Wednesday, May 22. Belle Plaine won both the front and the back with Sa 195 and a 204 to clinch the MRC title.
Sarah Horlocker led the Royals on the front nine with a 49, while Harding carded a 50 and Anderson shot a 53. Allison Lague added a 56 for Watertown-Mayer, while Olivia Wabbe shot a 59 and Madeline Nolan shot a 67.
On the back nine, Anderson led the way for the Royals with a 47. Harding shot a 51, Horlocker shot a 53, Lague shot a 58, Wabbe carded a 65 and Nolan finished at 73.
The Royals will return to action for the section meet on Thursday, May 3, at Pebble Creek Golf Club. For those individuals that advance to the second round, or if the Royals are among the top four teams after the first round, the second round will be Monday, June 3, also at Pebble Creek.
