Let me wish all father’s in my reading area a Happy Father’s Day. May you enjoy your special day with family and friends.
Antique Car Show in July
The annual Antique Car Show will be here in July. As soon as I receive the itinerary on it, I will forward the lineup in this column.
Senior Citizens Meet
Eleven members of the Mayer Senior Citizen’s Club met at the Community Center on Monday, June 3, for a pot luck dinner and fellowship. The game of bunco was played after the meal. I know there are a lot more senior citizens in the area who would like to join us; maybe you don’t have a way of getting there, or maybe you don’t play Bunco. Any one over the age of 55 is welcome to join us. You won’t know if you don’t like the get togethers until you try it. There are no dues to pay, just bring a dish of food to share. Our next dinner date is set for Monday, July 8.
Mayer Riverside 4-H
Because of Father’s Day being the third Sunday of the month, the Mayer Riverside 4-H club will meet on July 23 instead of July 16. The meeting will take place at the Mayer community Center at 6 p.m. New members are always welcome. If you have questions about the club, please give Melanie Menth a call at 612-749-0400.
