OBIT- Mabel Rolf

Mabel Rolf

Mabel Rolf

Mabel S. Rolf, 92, of Cologne went to be with her Lord Jesus on June 5, at her daughter’s home in Belleville, Mich.
She was born March 15, 1945, to her parents Henry and Sophia (Lueders) Sonnenberg in St. Paul. She was confirmed in her faith in Jesus Christ her Savior under the training of Rev. Carl Hoffman and Oswald Hoffman at First Trinity Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, where later she would also be married March 24, 1945, to Werner Rolf a farmer in Hancock Twp. Carver County.
This is where she would live and raise a family for the next 27 years, until retiring to a home in Cologne and later in Chaska.
Mabel was blessed in many ways on the farm in Hancock Twp. She enjoyed raising chickens and cows, working at the county fair, being a supervisor for purchasing/retail at Montgommery Wards, doing tax preparation and census twice. The last three-and-a-half years she lived with her daughter Bonita in Belleville, Mich., after living five years in Chaska Moravian Apartments next to Joycelyn.
Faith in Jesus Christ was Mabel’s lifetime blessing so any memorials would be given to Zion Lutheran Church of Cologne. Her family thanks you for all the well wishes and love in memory of Mabel Sophia Rolf.
Mabel was preceded in death by her loving husband, Werner Rolf after 50 years of marriage; her parents, Henry and Sophia Sonnenberg; and her brother, Harold Sonnenberg of San Jose, Calif.
