Mayer Riverside 4-H

Members of the Mayer Riverside 4-H Club will have their monthly meeting on Sunday, June 23, at 6 p.m. at the Mayer Community Center. New members are always welcome. Give Melanie Menth a call at 612-749-0400 to make your intentions known.

Dates of Importance

Monday, June 24, members of the Mayer city council will have a meeting starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Center.

Wednesday evening from 5-8 p.m., the compost site will be open for your convenience. It is also open on Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon. Bring your garden and yard waste at these times. I do believe there is compost available for you to take. Bring buckets or pails to put it in. Take as much as you want, but only as much as you need. That way there will be enough for everyone.

Kids are home for summer

Please be careful when driving through town, especially when close to the various parks in the city. Watch out for children as they run and ride their bikes ot the play areas. They don’t always remember to watch for vehicles as they cross the streets, especially Highway 25. Let’s make this a safe, accident free summer.
