Obits – Douglas Luverne Anderson

Douglas Luverne Anderson, age 69, of Chaska, formerly of Willmar, died on Monday, June 24 at Marie Steiner Kelting Hospice Home in Chaska.
Memorial visitation is Thursday, June 27 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Bertas Funeral Home, 200 W. 3rd Street Chaska. Inurnment will be on Friday, June 28 at 10:30 a.m. at Clover Leaf Memorial Park in Willmar.
Doug was born on Dec. 1, 1943 in Willmar, Minn., to Floyd and Clara (Ploss) Anderson. He was an only child.   Doug graduated from Willmar High School in 1963. On Nov. 19, 1966 Doug married Sandi (Lobitz) at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Chaska.
He retired from Eaton Corporation after 38 years. Until his illness he did his own yardwork, many home projects; a “general handyman.” He built remote control cars and boats and had a passion for fast cars. In his younger years he did a lot of scuba diving and enjoyed the outdoors, especially time at the cabin in Wisconsin.
Preceding him in death was his father, Floyd Anderson and God-Daughter, Kristene Heyer.
Survivors include his loving wife, Sandi of Chaska, mother, Clara Beckstrom of Waconia, faithful dog, Abby, sister-in-law, Mary Johnson of Waconia, brother-in-law, Steve Lobitz of Waconia, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral arrangements were with the Bertas Funeral Home of Chaska, Minn.
