Master Gardener Help
The Carver/Scott Master Gardeners have a help desk from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday until Labor Day at the Waconia Public Library. No fee, just come and ask questions or bring a sample of a problem.

Bike Rally benefit
SATURDAY, JUNE 29 – JT’s Hideaway, 125 Main St. E., New Prague is sponsoring a Bike Rally that benefits the CAP Agency Crisis Nursery, which provides families living in Scott and Carver counties safe, emergency child care for children between 6 weeks to 12 years old and operates a 24-Hour Crisis Nursery Helpline. Bark for Life event
SATURDAY, JUNE 29 – American Cancer Society’s Bark for Life of Waconia will be held at the Carver County Fairgrounds from 9 to 11 a.m., with on-site registration available at 8:30 a.m. Individual registration also available on-line. Bark for Life is an American Cancer Society Relay for Life fundraising event that honors the care giving qualities of canine companions and supports our life saving mission. SUNDAY, JUNE 30 – St. Mark Lutheran Church of New Germany will be hosting a Dad’s Belgian waffle breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Mark Lutheran School. This fundraiser will go towards purchasing souvenirs marking the 100th aniversary of the church next year. All welcome.

4th of July fireworks

FRIDAY, JULY 5 – The First Friday Recovery Service will be held on the first Friday of every month at 7 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Waconia. All are welcome to attend this informal worship service, designed for anyone looking for support or healing with an emphasis on recovery from addictions. MBC blood drive
