Arthur F. Witschorik, age 85, of Waconia passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at his home in Waconia.
Mass of Christian Burial  was Friday, July 19, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (41 East First Street) in Waconia with Father Bennet Tran as celebrant of the Mass; visitation two hours prior to the Mass at church; interment St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
Arthur was born on April 6, 1928 in Chicago, Ill., the son of Arthur F. and Kathryn (Bladorn) Witschorik. On Nov. 6, 1948 Art was united in marriage to Martha Witowski at St. Claire Montefalco Catholic Church in Chicago.
Arthur was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. Arthur was a successful insurance salesman during his career. He enjoyed wood carving, being in the garden and was a nature lover. Art belonged to the Waconia American Legion Post 150 and was a member of the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Art was a champion for the rights of the unborn, and a tireless worker at the local food shelf. He was a great human being.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Kathryn Witschorik; wife Martha “Marge” Witschorik; son Bruce Witschorik; sister-in-law Dottie Tablerion.
Arthur is survived by his loving family sons Art (Kathy) Witschorik of Victoria, Chuck (Cindy) Witschorik of San Jose, Calif.; daughter-in-law and husband Kathy (Jerry) Hughitt of Farmington; grandchildren Art (Stacie) Witschorik, Ken (Danielle) Witschorik, Kurt (Cynthia) Witschorik, Chuck Witschorik and Adolfo Ramirez, Mark Witschorik and Molly Savage, Carrie Witschorik and fiancé Kyle Pruter, Natalie Witschorik, Bruce Witschorik; great-grandchildren Artie, Owen, Helena, Gabe, Grace, Samantha, Jane; sister and brother-in-law Donna (Jim) Luebking of Seminole, Fla.; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Jean and Bill Grabowski of Braidwood, Ill., Frank (Joyce) Witowski of Biggers, Alaska, Jim Tablerion of Orland Park, Ill.;  nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Memorials preferred to the Waconia United Food Shelf and Right to Life.
