Senior Club

Support Group

2nd Tuesday, 6:30 p.m.. – Suicide Bereavement Support Group meets the second Tuesday of each month at the Waconia Moravian Church. 209 E 2nd street. Next Meeting May 14th, 6:30pm open to anyone who has lost a loved one to suicide.


Free Hot dinner at St. Paul’s

1st Thursday, 5:30-6:30 p.m.  – Please join St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (505 Westminster Avenue. SW in Watertown) once a month for a wonderful full course hot dinner. All are invited every first Thursday of the month. Info: 955-1498.


Watertown Farmer’s Market

Thursdays this summer, 3:30-6:30 p.m.  – New Day and New location:  find us on Thursday’s next to the city offices from 3:30-6:30 p.m.  Now offering:  homemade soap, craft items, jam, pickled items, veggies, eggs, and baked goods. VBS at Free Church

Aug. 5-8 – Kingdom Chronicles — Standing Strong in the Battle for Truth — Daily Vacation Bible School is being offered Monday through Thursday, Aug. 5-8, from 6:30 to 8:30 at Watertown Evangelical Free Church, 509 Jefferson Ave SW, for children ages 3 (potty trained) through fifth grade. National Night Out at St. Paul’s

Tues., Aug. 6, 5-8 p.m. – National Night Out Activities on the Lawn. Bring your family and friends to enjoy this year’s National Night Out at St Paul’s Lutheran Church located at 505 Westminster Ave. in Watertown.  Activities include free food, ice cream, popcorn, kids games and time to mix & mingle with your Watertown neighbors and friends.  What a great way to get to know members of the Watertown community and have some fun for kids of all ages – from 1 to 100.  This is a free event.


Cross Country parent meeting

Wed., Aug. 7, 6:45 p.m. – Watertown-Mayer will hold it’s cross country parent information meeting at 6:45 p.m.


Peace Lutheran VBS

Aug. 12-15 – Prepare to put on “The Armor of God!”  We invite all kids pre-school through completed 5th grade to join us in a week of fun!  We will be meeting from 5:30-8 p.m. Aug. 12-15 at Peace Lutheran, 600 Kristi Lane.  There will be large group worship, singing, bible study, skits, games, crafts, snack and more!   The cost is $5 and please bring a t-shirt to decorate.  To register, call or email Kathy Maas 955-2936 or [email protected]


Arts Center Bus Trip

Aug. 15 – To celebrate the end of summer, Elim Rehab & Nursing Home invites you to participate in a journey along Highway 212 from Watertown, Minn., to Watertown, S.D. The roundtrip will leave at 7 a.m. from the high school parking lot and return at 8 p.m. Guests will be treated to tours at the Redlin Arts Center, the Goss Opera House, the Mellette House and Watertown Confectionery, Winery & chocolate shop while enjoying fun games, snacks and camaraderie during the trip. All proceeds will be used to purchase new furniture for the day room.



Fri., Aug. 16, 6:30 p.m. – Immaculate Conception Church will be celebrating its first-ever CatholicManNight. Father Tony O’Neill, guest speaker,  will offer a reflection on “The Transfiguration of Jesus Christ,” during this Special father and son event. It includes Adoration, Confession, a BBQ man meal, sharing, and raffle, with the support of the Knights of Columbus.  CMN invites men to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Firehouse Drive-In

Aug. 16-17 – The Cologne Fire Department Relief Association will hold the fifth annual Firehouse Drive-In at Village Park in Cologne. Gates open at 6 p.m. on Friday and 4 p.m. on Saturday.  A bean bag tournament starts at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17. Parking passes are available at Lenzen Chevrolet Buick in Chaska, KleinBank in Cologne and Holiday in Cologne. WASK Meeting

Tues., Aug. 20, 5 p.m. – Watertown Area Swim Klub will have its Fall/Winter season pre-season meeting at the high school pool. The pool will be available for evaluations if needed an hour prior. WASK is a Watertown-Mayer community education program that is a large family friendly club with 25 percent off second child and 50 percent off third and each child thereafter club dues.


Stiftungsfest Sheephead Tournament

Sat., Aug. 24 , 8:30 a.m. – 10th Annual Stiftungsfest Sheephead Tourney. 8:30 am, registration.  Tournament starts at 9 a.m. in the Pavilion. The event is sponsored by the NYA Lions.
