ISD 110 dates to remember


Thursday, Aug. 1
Free MSHSL qualifying sports physical exams at Twin Cities Orthopedic – Waconia from 5-8 p.m. at the Waconia location (560 Maple Street #200). Call (952) 512-5647 or e-mail [email protected] to sign up or for more information.

Tuesday, Aug. 6
The Waconia Activities Department is hosting a pre-registration night from 5-8 p.m. in the high school lobby. This is a great opportunity to fill out and turn in paperwork for fall activities and receive your child’s Activity Clearance Card.
Clearance Card: ALL student-athletes in grades 7-12 planning to participate in a fall sport need to have: an updated physical on file; MSHSL Eligibility Form on file; a Medical Emergency Form on file; and activity fee paid.

Monday, Aug. 12
First official day of practice for grades 9-12 sports, including: cross country (9 a.m. WHS football field), football (8 a.m. WHS football fields), girls’ swimming and diving (grades 7-12, 3 p.m. at the Clearwater MS/Safari Island pool), boys’ and girls’ soccer (9 a.m. at the WHS/CW soccer fields), volleyball (8 a.m. in the WHS gymnasium).
Also on Aug. 12, there is a mandatory parent meeting at WHS for parents with children participating in fall sports, beginning at 7 p.m.

Thursday, Aug. 15
Free sports conference for coaches and parents sponsored by Ridgeview Sports Medicine. Learn more from experts on common sports injuries and more. The conference will be from 6-8:30 p.m. in the WHS auditorium.

Monday, Aug. 26
First day of practice for seventh and eighth grade fall sports, including: cross country (report to the front area at the Clearwater MS main entrance at 3 p.m.), football (Clearwater MS gym for equipment checkout, eighth graders report at 3 p.m., seventh graders at 4 p.m.), boys’ and girls’ soccer (front area at Clearwater MS at 3 p.m.), volleyball (3 p.m. in the Clearwater MS gym).
Also on Aug. 26 is the mandatory parent meeting at Clearwater MS for parents with children in seventh and eighth grade fall sports. The meeting begins at 5 p.m.
