Mayer News for Aug. 8

Zion Back To School

Parents, students, teachers and staff members are invited to the Back to School Picnic at Zion Lutheran School on Sunday, Aug. 25. Mark your calendar for this important upcoming event.

Electronic Sign

The electronic sign, which is located on the corner of Highway 25 and County Road 30 West, is being used by many organizations in our community. It is on the property of the First Minnesota Bank. If you have something to advertise, which will help bring more people to our community, please call the city offices at 952-657-1502. There is a fee for this service, which will be taken care of when you call.

Farmer’s Market

The Farmer’s Market will be held on Tuesday evenings in the city of Mayer. It will be held during the time of the weekly car and cycle show between 5-8 pm. on Second Street N., between Blue Jay Avenue and Highway 25.

Car and Cycle Show

The weekly Tuesday night car and cycle show is turning out to be a huge success. It is held during the same time as the Farmer’s Market. Stop by to purchase some home grown vegetables, view the autos, and treat yourself to some specials at the local business places in town. Members of Zion Lutheran grade school have a hot dog stand, and there is also the Kettle Korn man there. Bring your vehicles in to display, or just come and join in the community fun. There is no entry fee for any of the above.
