Senior Club

Support Group

2nd Tuesday, 6:30 p.m.. – Suicide Bereavement Support Group meets the second Tuesday of each month at the Waconia Moravian Church. 209 E 2nd street. Next Meeting May 14th, 6:30pm open to anyone who has lost a loved one to suicide.


Free Hot dinner at St. Paul’s

1st Thursday, 5:30-6:30 p.m.  – Please join St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (505 Westminster Avenue. SW in Watertown) once a month for a wonderful full course hot dinner. All are invited every first Thursday of the month. Info: 955-1498.


Watertown Farmer’s Market

Thursdays this summer, 3:30-6:30 p.m.  – New Day and New location:  find us on Thursday’s next to the city offices from 3:30-6:30 p.m.  Now offering:  homemade soap, craft items, jam, pickled items, veggies, eggs, and baked goods. Thur., Aug. 15, 7 p.m. – The support group of National Alliance on Mental Illness will meet  at the Moravian Church in Waconia located at 209 2nd St E.


Arts Center Bus Trip

Aug. 15 – To celebrate the end of summer, Elim Rehab & Nursing Home invites you to participate in a journey along Highway 212 from Watertown, Minn., to Watertown, S.D. The roundtrip will leave at 7 a.m. from the high school parking lot and return at 8 p.m. Guests will be treated to tours at the Redlin Arts Center, the Goss Opera House, the Mellette House and Watertown Confectionery, Winery & chocolate shop while enjoying fun games, snacks and camaraderie during the trip. CatholicManNight (Cancelled)

Fri., Aug. 16, 6:30 p.m. – Immaculate Conception Church has postponed its CatholicManNight. It will be rescheduled for a future date.


Firehouse Drive-In

Aug. 16-17 – The Cologne Fire Department Relief Association will hold the fifth annual Firehouse Drive-In at Village Park in Cologne. Gates open at 6 p.m. on Friday and 4 p.m. on Saturday.  A bean bag tournament starts at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17. Wild, Wild West Children’s Event

Sat, Aug. 17, 9 a.m. – noon – Join us for bible-based story time, guitar-led children’s music, games, a craft, and special guests: a famous horse seen on TV commercials and owners putting on a Wild, Wild West performance you won’t want to miss! WASK Meeting

Tues., Aug. 20, 5 p.m. – Watertown Area Swim Klub will have its Fall/Winter season pre-season meeting at the high school pool. The pool will be available for evaluations if needed an hour prior. WASK is a Watertown-Mayer community education program that is a large family friendly club with 25 percent off second child and 50 percent off third and each child thereafter club dues.


Princess Kay Coronation

Wed., Aug. 21, 8 p.m. – 60th Princess Kay of the Milky Way  Coronation at the Minnesota State Fair grounds band shell. Carver County Dairy Association is hosting a free fan bus supporting 2013 Carver County Dairy Princess/2013 Princess Kay Finalist, Katie Buckentine, of Chaska. CCLS Open House

Sat. Aug. 22, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. – Christ Community Lutheran School (CCLS) of Watertown will be having an Open House. CCLS offers great Christian educational opportunities for students from age 3 through 8th Grade. Families new to CCLS for the 2013-14 school year will receive 1/2 off tuition for children enrolled in grades K-8 and one month free for any of the three Licensed Preschool Programs. Jeff Stern Memorial Golf Tournament

Sun., Oct. 6, 1 p.m. – The Jeff Stern Memorial Golf Tourney for CCLS will be held at Shadowbrooke Golf Course in Lester Prairie. 9-Hole Scramble Event, 1 p.m. shotgun.
