OBIT-BollCMYKViola A. Boll, age 95, of Waconia, formerly St. Bonifacius, passed away Monday, Aug. 5, 2013 at the Auburn Home in Waconia.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, Aug. 9, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in St. Bonifacius with Father Martin Shallbetter as Celebrant of the Mass. Visitation was from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass at the church; interment in the church cemetery.
Viola was born on April 17, 1918 in St. Bonifacius, Minn., the daughter of Christ and Sarah (Schmid) Geyen. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Boniface Catholic Church in St. Bonifacius. On June 4, 1940, Viola was united in marriage to Florian A. Boll at St. Boniface Catholic Church in St. Bonifacius by Father Albert Heer.
Viola was a loving wife, mom, grandma and great-grandma. She was a life-long faithful member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, and belonged to the Daughters of Isabella. Viola was a loyal Minnesota Twins Fan and was an avid Sheephead player.
Viola is preceded in death by her husband Florian “Lucky” Boll; father and mother Christ and Sarah Geyen; sisters Genevieve Ebert, Frances Neutgens; brothers Marvin Geyen, Clarence Geyen.
Viola is survived by her loving family; daughter and son-in-law Judy and Bill McGinley of Poinciana, Florida; sons and daughters-in-law Ray Boll and Gloria King of Plymouth, Kevin and Jill Boll of Lake Charles, La.; daughter-in-law Mary Anderson of Midland, Texas; grandchildren Kelly McGinley and Darrell Colman, Stephanie Beidler, Suzanne and Garrett Melchiorre, Amy Boll, Christopher Boll, Allison Boll; great-grandchildren Donovan, Katie, Connor, Camden, Joshua, Alexa; brothers and sister-in-law Everard Geyen of Waconia, Eugene Geyen of Mound, Gerald and Virginia Geyen of St. Bonifacius; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Casket Bearers are Viola’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
